On Sunday, July 5th from 2–3:30 PM, we're celebrating the holiday weekend with a cocktail class inspired by three iconic drinks in red, white, and blue. Some are classics. Some are a little retro. All of them deserve a spot in your summer rotation.
These are festive cocktails built for backyard gatherings, lake weekends, and long summer evenings spent with good company.
Here's what we're making:
Jack Rose – Applejack, grenadine, lemon. Bright, tart, and one of America's great forgotten classics.
Gin Fizz – Gin, lemon, sugar, egg white, soda water. Light, frothy, and refreshing with a texture unlike any other cocktail.
Blue Hawaiian – Rum, blue curaçao, pineapple, cream of coconut. Tropical, unapologetically fun, and proof that sometimes the vacation drinks are popular for a reason.
We'll walk through the techniques that make these drinks work, the history behind each cocktail, and the small details that separate a good drink from a great one.
Then you'll get to make all three for yourself.
